You’ll practice a proper and efficient forward stroke as well as how to turn and stop your board. Most of all, you’ll have FUN! We also take plenty of photos – so leave your camera/phone behind!

BEGINNER SUP LESSONS

Testimonials

“My son David had the time of his life at Camp SUP with Greg Miller. He came home stoked every day about how much fun he had. He learned all about the gear, safety, and correct paddling form. He went from a beginner to an advanced SUPer during the week. David even got to do some river running in small rapids at the chutes on the Potomac River! He wants to come back and do it again!” – Steve P. (Potomac, MD)

“I signed up for a private SUP lesson with Greg Miller. He made me feel welcomed and relaxed. He made it so easy to learn. I was hooked and knew stand up paddle boarding was for me. I then signed up for more advanced stokes and maneuvers lessons. This progression gave me the skills to get into whitewater SUPing. Greg is River SUP-certified and his whitewater program is awesome! I can’t believe that I can now surf standing waves in the Potomac River!” – Marie S. (Arlington, VA)

“My son Shane had the most fun ever at Camp SUP with Greg Miller. He loves stand up paddle boarding! He went to bed early every night so he could be ready for his next day of fun on the water. ‘Hey Mom, I can paddle on one side of my board and go straight, then I can do a 360 pivot turn!’ I had to see what all the fun was about and signed up for lessons too! Stand up paddle boarding is so easy when you learn the correct fundamentals from Greg and a great core work out too…go figure!” – Jody B. (Potomac, MD)
