We’ll supply the stand up paddleboard, paddle, and safety equipment. However, there are a few things that you’ll want to make sure you bring:

• Water • Snack • Sun hat • Sunblock (SPF 30 or above) • Water shoes or sport sandals • A completed waiver form (download here) There are also a few optional items that you’ll maybe want to consider: • Bug spray •

Towel and dry clothes In addition, if you wear glasses or have anything else that could fall in the water, it’s a good idea to make sure you have a way to keep them on you. If there’s anything else that you’ll need, your instructor will let you know before your scheduled lesson!

What to Bring to Your Lesson

Greg “Suggz” Miller has been a waterman for over 30 years. He is one of the first-ever Level 3 River SUP Certified Instructors by the American Canoe Association. He started the first legitimate SUP program in the Washington, DC area in 2010. Greg also created other outstanding sup programs in the DC area and was the first stand up paddle boarder to run the white water on the Potomac River.
