ERS SUP Construction - Build It Tough And Keep It Light

ERS TECH DUAL is the core technology we use to construct the best stand up paddle boards on the water. HYBRID CORE CONSTRUCTION the addition of our EDR™, which we use in all our boards and is the DNA that makes an ERS board the best inflatable on the market.  We use different core construction processes to ensure the right SUP is available to everyone and for use in any water environment.

Better Shape Design

An ERS stand up paddle board is the perfect blend of modern material science, focused physics, and art-inspired visuals. The ERS lineup is an evolution of our previous series boards that were a massive success for us in the performance SUP board market, and showed just how well an inflatable SUP could perform - if it was built right.

SKYLAKE and DUAL series boards incorporate a development several years in making with our Enhanced Dynamic Rail  (EDR™) which is built directly into the boards! No unwieldy rods or attachments are needed because we developed material and processes to stiffen the rail for demanding activities such as surfing and whitewater while taking on almost no weight penalty.

Balance - Speed - Durability

A board's design can only be as good as what it is made from, and we have developed the most advanced SUP material and construction to ensure trouble-free performance. Both of our core designs feature material enhancements that provide enhanced rigidity while keeping the boards lightweight and making your paddling sessions fun and enjoyable.

Base Materials

The CORE structure of our inflatable paddle boards is a resilient PVC but the secret is in the layering which produces a structure that is flexible enough to inflate, deflate, and roll up. The PVC layers are bound together with a high tensile string-bound structure which allows the board to hold the intended shape when inflated. Below is a brief description of the material layers and internal structure of our two constructions.

DUAL X9 CORE

The DUAL X9 Core is the evolution of our time-tested construction which has a second layer of military-grade fabric thermally fused to the inner core. It is an additional production step that allows custom tuning of the board properties for the specific design parameters. Weight, strength, flex, and wear properties are all accurately controlled by means of thermal flex layering. It is a more costly process but it allows us to produce the highest quality performance boards without compromise.  The GEN 3 DUAL  series feature a gecko grip diamond texture on the deck pad and LRC Fin System for the SUP rider who wants to tune their ride to their environment and paddling style.

SKYLAKE X9 CORE

The SKYLAKE X9 Fused Laminate construction is built around a high tensile inner core that is fusion bonded to an integral layer of hard-wearing PVC, resulting in a lightweight board with exceptional strength and rigidity. GEN 2 SKYLAKE boards feature the same high-density deck pads with our ultra-grip diamond groove pattern to enhance comfort for all the things you might want to do on a SUP.  SKYLAKE boards continue the design principles we started with our original SKYLAKE boards because we wanted a SUP that was practically bulletproof and would provide years of enjoyment to its user. SKYLAKE boards are available in GREEN (Permanent Unbreakable Fins) or COLOR (LRC™ Fin System).

ERS X11

DUAL X11 RIVER

The DUAL X11 RIVER |  The X11 RIVER construction features our thermal DUAL core with additional layering deigned specifically for the challenges of all types of river paddling.  The gecko diamond groove grip texture on the deck pad - ERS Front Pad Bumper™ - and ultimate LRC Fin System.  Built by hand in very limited quantities with a unique best in class construction. Harder - Better - Faster - Stronger.

DECK X7 CORE

The exact highest quality ERS Core Fusion material as featured in our market leading SKYLAKE series. The DECK series features three removable flex fins for compact folding - reptile deck pad - and slightly lighter weight with removal of the EDR. Designed to be a full featured compact travel board and available in a variety of colors and shapes for the rider who wants to up their game.

Components and Materials

The quality feel of a board is a synergy effect that requires all components working together - it isn't only about the base material construction. While making a great SUP board starts with the raw materials, the key is combining quality materials, components, and design that keeps the board light and high-performing while ensuring longevity for its owner. Below are some of the enhancements we design into our boards that add to the overall experience:

ERS Inflatable SUP Boards

Core Construction

We use the best PVC core available in our boards but have developed techniques to reduce weight. Our PVC fabrics, rail enhancements, and coatings are among the strongest on the market yet our boards weigh only 18-28lbs!

ERS 10-7 S3 DUAL

40% Thicker Deck Pads

Cheap deck pads can wear out because they are the place where all of the action happens. We use a more resilient rubber on our pads that resists wear, disperses pressure, and provides an exceptional grip for the rider.

Flexible Fin Setups

We experimented for several years with different fin boxes until we were satisfied we had a keeper. Our fin boxes are versatile and will take standard FCS™ fins. Our fixed fins are unbreakable and trouble-free.

Quality Hardware

Only the best components, including D-rings, handles, and bungee cords. We use the highest grade components and specific manufacturing techniques to maintain a board that keeps its structural integrity even in intense heat or cold.
